Meet the Host
Daniel Willcocks is a horror author, podcaster, and publisher with over a decade of experience working in and around dark fiction.
He is the author of multiple horror novels and novellas, co-creator of the Twisted Tales series, and co-founder of The Other Stories podcast — one of the most widely downloaded horror fiction podcasts in the world. Alongside his writing, Daniel runs Devil’s Rock Books, a platform dedicated to championing quality horror and connecting readers with writers doing interesting work in the genre.
The Writer’s Chair grew out of a desire to talk more honestly about writing — not just success stories, but the craft, doubt, discipline, and long road of making work that matters. As a host, Daniel brings curiosity, openness, and a deep respect for the writing process, creating space for thoughtful conversations rather than performances.
